Rient Adrijan (1997, Erp) lives and works in Rotterdam, NL.
Based in Rotterdam, works at the intersection of glass, color, animation and meaning. His practice — ranging from stained glass to animation and lightsources — is a play of light and layered expression, where abstraction and figuration intertwine to tell stories. With a background in animation, he now weaves motion into glass through his own form: Lichtiek — a fluid dance of color and transparency. His work is both socially engaged and experimental, aiming to touch the viewer, to let glass speak as a living, breathing medium.
He creates both personal works and commissioned pieces.
Rient studied at SintLucas in Eindhoven (2013–2017), after which he continued his education at the Willem de Kooning Academy (Audiovisual Design, 2017–2021).
